While creating any redirection an SEO has to be very careful. As we know 301 redirect means that a page which has been moved permanently to a new location and 302 redirect means that a page which moved temporary. Google used to treat them differently but now Google has changed the redirects rules whether it’s 301, 302 or 307 now Google treats them same.
New Redirection Rules:
Because of negative aspect of redirection especially with HTTPS Google was working on this for several months. Now Google’s John Mueller has announced that no Pagerank is lost for 301 or 302 redirect of HTTP to HTTPS.
Here a question comes in mind that can we use 301 redirect without losing traffic. So the Answer would be NO, because when we redirect a page to a new copy page so it doesn’t affect of your traffic but when you make more changes in a page so it could affect equity and relevancy because we can say that Google allows relevant page redirection.
