You all might really want to know the actual factors of ranking higher on Google search engine, but I say that Google search engine is getting smart day by day so you have to be more smarter than Google. There are some of main points which I am going to share with you.

  1. Essential keyword in title, title length

Title is a main element of a web page or article, because Google bot crawls a web page title first. Put your important keywords in your web page title but remember as per Google guidelines page title length should be 60 to 65 characters to be displayed completely in SERP (Search Engine Result Page), if you exceed character limit in title so your title won’t show completely, here a screen shot to make you more understand.

  1. Keyword in URL

Put important keywords in URL to make it user friendly URL, Google prefers to rank higher that web page which URL is relevant. Length also does matters in URL like title. Yes URL length should be minimum characters to be displayed complete in SERP.

  1. Meta Description, tags and Keywords

Meta description, tags and keywords are most important part of a web page that lets Google know that what your page is related. But be clever to put meta on your web page because if you do keyword stuffing so it could be more chances to be penalized your website by Google, so keep your meta relevant to your product, article etc.

  1. Thick and Thin content

Content is a very important element of a web site, Now you are thinking about that what is Thick and Thin content, Thick content is a garbage now as Google algorithms, lengthy and irrelevant content is called Thick content, content must be relevant and informative regarding your web page or product you are offering as user wants to read, this type of content is called Thin content.

  1. Website load time

This is very crucial that your web page loads in maximum 3sec to 5sec, it directly relates to website bounce rate because user doesn’t wait much to completely load your website. So make your website fastest according to PageSpeed Insights – Google Developers Tool.

  1. Responsive

You website must be mobile friendly as these days high volume of traffic come from mobile, people don’t have much time to spend time on Computer or Laptop so make your website mobile friendly. According to Google Mobile Algorithms when your website is responsive and mobile friendly then Google more prefer it to rank higher.

  1. Duplicate content

As Google trying to provide unique and authentic information to their user as they want, so Google panda update take an action on duplicate content so make your content unique, even more people think that they put unique content on their website but they don’t be aware about page duplications those are generating and indexing by Google crawler so it more crucial to use canonical tag on your page or robots.txt file to prevent crawler to crawl extra pages which cause to be duplicate content.

  1. Quality Backlinks

Your website must have quality and relevant backlinks other wise Penguin algorithm can harm your website. Penguin is one of the Google big algorithms which catch spam backlinks that is very negative impact on your site. So be aware while generating backlinks.
